My stay at Hillcrest House was delightful. The large Victorian windows in my room offered breathtaking views over the estuary. Breakfasts were a standout—delicious meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients, including fantastic poached eggs. The hosts, Andy and Nic, created a homely atmosphere with friendly chatter during meals. I appreciated the treat for my dog upon arrival, which made our stay even more enjoyable. the hotel showed some signs of wear, especially in certain areas, and minor issues like the room not having a full-length mirror were noticeable. Nevertheless, I would return for the cozy, relaxed vibe and excellent breakfasts.

I was blown away by the delicious home-cooked meals each evening, showcasing the freshness of local produce! The stunning scenic views from my room, framed by large bay windows, created a perfect backdrop for relaxation. Personalized touches, like homemade chocolates shaped like Belted Galloway cows, made my stay feel incredibly special.

Had an amazing time with friends! We loved exploring the beautiful countryside and enjoyed long walks near the river and local parks. The hosts were super friendly, and the breakfast was a highlight of our stay. If you're a dog lover, they'll welcome your furry friend too which is a big plus!
We had a minor issue with the hot water in our room one morning, but the hosts were quick to address it.
